The 2012-2013 5K Run Into the New Year, hosted by CityCenter Danbury, kicks off on Monday, December 31st at 3:00 pm on the Danbury Green. The 5K route, accessible to participants of all ages, takes runners on a fairly flat out-and-back route on Downtown’s historic Main Street. We start from CityCenter Danbury, run down Main Street to Rogers Park and back to CityCenter. After the race, stay for CityCenter First Night and all the New Year’s Eve Festivities!
The entry fee is $25 through December 30th, and $30 on Race Day. Register now on active.com through Sunday, December 30th. Or, register on Race Day, Monday, December 31st, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Danbury Arena, 1 Independence Way, adjacent to the Green. There you can pick up your Race packets and a First Night Danbury button to provide entrance to this year’s entertainments. The first 200 registered runners will receive a 5K commemorative T-shirt. Overall Winners will receive trophies, and medals will be awarded to Winners in their Age Groups.
